Kevin Bu is on the verge of becoming an expert. With an outstanding score of 3.5 in the Illinois Class Championships (good enough for 9th place on tiebreaks in the Experts section) , Kevin is now rated 1996 by the USCF! Michael Yang continues is march toward master status. He also played in the same section of the Illinois Class Championships, finishing with 3.5 and 5th place. Michael rating is currently 2176. This will just be for over the board casual play for serious players and structured competitions. August 12, 19, and 26, the meetings will be at the Kevin Bu household.
