It's unofficial, but Michael Yang's USCF rating is now sitting at 2204, earning him the title of USCF Master! Michael also recently played in the Denker Tournament of High School Champions, finishing tied with several others for 4th place. Not bad for a kid who's only in 9th grade. Congratulations Michael!

Starting in August, the club will begin Tuesday night meetings at the home of one of our club members in Eden Prairie and/or Chanhassen. This will just be for over the board casual play for serious players and structured competitions. August 12, 19, and 26, the meetings will be at the Kevin Bu household. September 2nd we will be at the Tim Lee household. There won't be any instruction. Space is limited, so this will require pre-registration via email. If you/your child are interested, please send an email to Pat@mnchess.com.
